“When is a tent not a tent? Opinions differ. Lets say that provided a structure has a covering which can be separated from its support, and can be transported, it is a tent. Whether in fact both are transported is another question: there are instances in which the framework is left behind and others in which the frame or even the tent as a whole is reduced in size for migrations of any distance. If the frame is capable of being used for a tent, then there is no need to disqualify it simply because in some instances it happens to be covered with a temporary, non-transportable material. In any case, it is the attitude of the users themselves that is most important when thinking about what a tent is.”
