Rain

Rain is a 24-hour real time video loop that runs non-stop during the time of the exhibition. The original animated painting is especially adapted by Levente Szűcs for his solo show in LOOK.

Levente Szűcs paints genre paintings with imaginary figures, still lives and landscapes, usually in oil. He animated two of his paintings, one of which – Rain – is an urban landscape. This video is the logical sequel of previous works depicting one of Szűcs’s most frequent motifs, the cloud.

Despite the apparent simplicity of this animation, watching Rain takes us to the grey zone of a fantasy world where only our own imagination sets the boundaries of time and space.
