This May CEU will be part of a complex conference series which has grown out from two longstanding initiatives: European Icononolgy East & West (being organized 5-yearly in Szeged since 1993) and ICON (a yearly symposium organized by the University of Rijeka since 2007). This year’s „Transregional Iconology on the Move” will consist of three colloquia with internationally renowned keynote speakers:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
Part One: May 23-24 (Thursday-Friday) \u2013 University of RIJEKA Invited keynote speakers: Xavier Barral i Altet (Venice), Hans Belting (Karlsruhe),\u00a0 Ann Michel Holly (Williamstown USA), Colum Hourihane (Princeton), Bianca K\u00fchnel (Jerusalem), Alexei Lidow (Moscow)<\/p>\r\n\r\n Part Two: May 27-29 (Monday-Wednesday) – CEU, BUDAPEST Invited keynote speakers: J\u00e1nos kelemen (Budapest), Massimo Leone (Torino), WJT Mitchell (Chicago), Jol\u00e1n Orb\u00e1n (P\u00e9cs \/ Budapest)<\/p>\r\n\r\n Part Three: May 29-31 (Wednesday evening-Friday) – University of SZEGED Invited keynote speakers: Barbara Baert (Leuven), Ivan Gerat (Bratislava), Marina Warner (Essex), Rowland Wymer (Cambridge)<\/p>\r\n\r\n In Budapest Professor WJT Mitchell will give a special graduate lecture for CEU students and faculty, however all interested guests are also welcome to that, too.
