Media and video works from all over the world are invited to be submitted for issue 6th of Crosstalk Video Art Festival Budapest.
Crosstalk Video Art Festival was founded in 2008 and since then has continued to develop awareness of the diversity and uniqueness of video as an art form. With its increased importance as part of Budapest cultural life, Crosstalk Video Art Festival presents new video art from all parts of the world. The festival program also includes lectures and artist’s talks.
APPLICATION CRITERIA
APPLICATION DEADLINE 30 APRIL 2013
There is no criteria as to the subject/theme of the works.
Artists of any age and nationality are eligible to submit works up to 3 pieces.
Submitted video art pieces must
– have been completed after 1 January 2010
– be single channel works
– not exceed the duration of 15 minutes
– be copyright controlled by the artist
All submissions are to include:
1 – Entry form. An entry form must be printed, filled out and signed for each work that you are submitting. Besides, the digital version (.doc or .rtf) of the entry forms must be sent via e-mail to .
2 – Artwork. Video pieces must be submitted in video DVD or MPEG2 file format written on a DVD. All DVDs should be clearly labelled showing the title of the work, the year of production, running time and the director’s name and resolution 16:9 or 4:3. Works submitted in languages other than English must be subtitled.
3– Data CD containing
3.1 – A short biography of the artist (between 50 and 100 words),
3.2 – A short description of the submitted work, including a list of previous screenings
3.3 – Two still images of the work in jpg format.
Student videos completed after 1 January 2010 with runtime no more than 15 minutes are eligible for entry into our annual S (Student) category.
Entries must arrive at the given address at the latest by 00:00 on 30 April 2013.
Crosstalk Video Art Festival does not take responsibility of shipment delays. Submissions that arrive after the deadline will not be considered.
Please note that Crosstalk Video Art Festival is unable to cover the cost of postage, delivery company fees, customs duties or any other costs incurred as a result of processing by customs. Please indicate on the envelope: “For cultural purposes only. No commercial value.”
Do not send submission materials in fibre-filled envelopes as the dust coming from the fibre damages media and playback equipment.
