The holy ape failed to colonise…,even though he thought a few industrial revolutions would be enough. While the techné took away the last vestiges of its grip on holistic being, it shed its gods and became mass apostates. In his immense frustration, he broke the rules of his society, and in the spell of his ego, he maximized his historically proven techniques of power by the 20th century. He constructed sects out of his religions, and his favourite game, under the spell of the cycle of matter, became the subjugation of other people. He did not admit that he was alone in the infinity of the universe, but he believed that what he perceived around him with his five senses existed entirely for Him. He also made money out of transcendence…

This exhibition, without claiming to be exhaustive, forms the backbone of László Horvàth’s work over the last decade.
