Once more the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen is inviting filmmakers from all over the world to submit their shorts, film or video, to its 48th Festival. We are not looking for particular genres or formats but for works that dare to break new ground in aesthetical, political, cultural, social or formal ways.
Film and video are accepted equally in all competitions. Approx. 70 titles will be selected for the International Competition, ca. 30 titles for the German Competition, ca. 35 titles for the Children\’s and Youth Film Competition. Around 10 candidates for the MuVi Award are presented at the Festival. The works will compete for prizes worth a total of EUR 37,500.
