numer.02, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris: Call for papers

CALL FOR ENTRIES numer.02, second international conference on interactive design INTERACTIVE DESIGN__________ LOOK AHEAD The conference will be held at the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France from the 19th to the 21st of April 2002. Following the success of numer.oo, first edition of these meetings, the numer association and the Centre Georges Pompidou announce the holding of numer.02. We invite interactive designers and theorists of interactive design alike to submit their proposal for a contribution to the event. In order to better understand the dynamics of interactive design at hand, we will attempt to picture its future as we see it. What will the new tools be like, and what will be their scope of application? In what ways will the professional environment evolve? What impact will this medium have on society at large? And how will future interactive designers be taught and trained? Such questions will certainly help to shed some light on the matter and enable us to better comprehend what\’s happening at present. These topics will be dealt with over a series of conferences and open discussions. An exhibition will be held at the same time. An interactive performance will also be staged.
