Call for Applications for artists from Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia and Hungary
(more Danube countries to follow)
donumenta e.V. calls for applications for one-month residencies in the period of August/September 2019 in Regensburg, Germany.
What about?
HERITAGE – TODAY/TOMORROW is the motto of Danube Art Lab 2019. It deals the multi-layered history of the UNESCO World Heritage City of Regensburg and asks for its meaning for today and tomorrow. The interventions of artists and designers should function as temporary site specific, in situ ‘asides’ or ‘updates’ to in public space, preferably in the city’s urban space or along the shores of the Danube.
For whom?
The invitation is addressed to artists, urban designers and architects with experience in temporary site-specific interventions.
How to realize your ideas?
The residency is expected to culminate in the realization of a site-specific intervention which will be developed and proposed during the artist´s stay, as well as in a written presentation that summarizes the process and the work accomplished.
During their stay residents are expected to work and possibly to complete a project idea for realisation in 2020.
The site-specific interventions and the documentation of the artistic production process will be published in different media (print or digital) and presented in museum or gallery.
