About the Residency
The Guesthouse operates a residential and non-residential residency programme, which allows artists, curators and cultural producers to develop projects at The Guesthouse and in the broader context of Cork city.
The residency offers access to space and facilities at The Guesthouse and opportunities to meet and engage with other practitioners. It enables residents to work on their proposed projects and also offer them the space and time to experiment with their current practice where new artistic practices and strategies may be tried out.
The residency does not have a designated studio/workshop, but we do have an adaptable space suitable for computer or desk based work or light fabrication. This space can also be used for exhibition of work, performance, presentation and discussion. We are also open to proposals on how the building could be used or adapted for your project.
There is no charge for these residencies at The Guesthouse and in exchange residents are encouraged to contribute to our programme during their tenure by offering to either host a lunch, do a presentation, workshop, performance or exhibition.
