Sabrina Merage Foundation Artist Fellowship
Promoting Artists Working at the Intersection of Diversity + Inclusion

Black Cube is a nonprofit, experimental art museum that operates nomadically. By functioning outside of traditional museum confines, we exist primarily through working with contemporary artists to commission site-relational artworks in the public realm. At Black Cube, we see ourselves as a new, unconventional museum pursuing the most effective ways to engage audiences through unexpected art encounters across the globe.

SMF ARTIST FELLOWSHIP EVALUATION CRITERIA
The Sabrina Merage Foundation Artist Fellowship—a specially named year-long Black Cube Artist Fellowship—is for a contemporary artist working at the intersection of inclusivity and diversity. With professional development support from Black Cube, the fellow will be guided through the production of an ambitious, site-relational artwork. The fellow will receive $10,000 towards the funding of a site-specific project and work alongside Black Cube to locate a site, produce the artwork, and engage underrepresented audiences.

By supporting the diversity of artists and communities that contemporary artwork touches, the Sabrina Merage Foundation Artist Fellowship seeks to encourage an inclusive culture, which can cultivate new audiences and community relationships with contemporary art.

Please review the eligibility guidelines below before applying. If you have questions about applying to Black Cube’s Fellowship, please contact .
