eva International

határidődeadline: 2013. September 2.
eva International, Ireland\’s biennial of contemporary art, is pleased to launch the international open call for proposals for the 2014 edition, curated by Bassam El Baroni. Applications are invited from individual artists or groups in any medium and can be for the presentation of existing works or production of new projects. The online application process is now open and closes at 5pm on Monday 2 September 2013. Commenting on the curatorial approach for eva International 2014 El Baroni said: “I would like the 36th eva International 2014 to be reflective of the many complex questions that the current heightened global political moment raises. Are we witnessing the continuing dominance of old political narratives? While these old narratives may be slowly showing signs of cracking, what are the obstacles facing the emergence of new narratives? Rather than being any kind of curatorial concept, this statement is intended solely as a hint at a direction that will evolve and nuance as the project develops.\” Artists can make up to 2 proposals and there is a submission fee of €20 for 1 proposal or €30 for 2 proposals. eva International is a not-for-profit organization where submission fees support selected artists and contribute directly to artists production, travel, accommodation, transportation and exhibition budgets.
