Following the summer break, the Interval series continues with the exhibition of the Mouth and Brain Painting Artists (SZ.A.F.), i.e. Judit Fischer and Miklós Mécs. Known for their conceptual, critical-humorous installations, actions and poetic drawings, the young artist couple will move, as it were, into the gallery for the duration of the exhibit, staging two-day mini-exhibitions (with the third days off).
Here’s a taste of the continuously changing themes:
come – an invitation from dots crawling up on walls all over the city, like the running tile and logo of the exhibition series on the front of the gallery
“All you can eat” – a paraphrase of such restaurants the world over, now serving the simplest, filling foods (rice, millet, lentil…)
The phases of human ontogenya loose adaptation of Erik H. Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development:
1. Trust or mistrust: infancy – the development of hope. Csaba Vándor: Baby
2. Autonomy or shame, doubt: early childhood – the birth of willpower. Sage babies
3. Initiation or guilt: the age of play – the emergence of intention. Children’s exhibition (GYIK Muhely retrospective)
4. Performance or sense of inferiority: school age – the development of competence. Oeuvre exhibition.
5. Identity of confused identity: adolescence – the appearance of loyalty. Graffiti characters.
6. Intimacy or isolation: young adulthood – the appearance of love. One and one makes two lovers; singles; extended families.
7. Productiveness or stagnation: mature adulthood – the appearance of care. Cool compress.
8. Integrity or desperation: old age – the appearance of wisdom. Pimp your walking frame.
