András Tábori and Támas Budha Kovács have been working together on various projects for
eight years now. The main focus of the group is public squares, such as Urbannus Square.
They regard these places as a storage area for freely usable medium for their work, where the
try to express the relationship between the city life, and public areas. They seek to portray the
ordinary truth within the hidden phenomena that occur within the urban areas.
“Some of the most characteristic drawings found on the walls of Budapest appear among our
hand-knit pictures. The 1:1 size ratio copies of the the unique works required high amounts
of precision, calculations and time, while they were entirely done using traditional knitting
techniques. To create the required knitting patterns, photos of the originals were used, that is
how the colourful knot-graphics were created.”
