The materiality and physical presence of the text has long been neglected in an understanding of writing as a mere representation of spoken language. Taking the enforced lack of physical interaction during the Covid-19 crisis as a starting point, this exhibition looks at the text as a body and the body as a text as well as the performative relation between both.
The exhibition shows experimental work of 10 Students from the painting and graphic design department of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, Budapest which was developed in collaboration with Prof. Holger Jacobs* during his guest professorship, supported by the Ludwig Foundation.
