The eighteen portraits are an extended version of the photo book of the same name, originally intended as an educational online photo series, but also a tribute to those who have strongly influenced the aesthetic and moral principles of our contemporary world.
Zoltán Mucsi and Viktor Marosi have recreated legendary portraits, taking into account the subjects’ dates of birth, thus predestining the images for publication over a year. The series will focus on politicians (Che Guevara, Sir Winston Churchill, Donald Trump), actors (Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, Béla Lugosi, Woody Allen) and performers (David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Harry Houdini), artists (Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso), fashion designers (Karl Lagerfeld), physicists (Albert Einstein), visionaries (Steve Jobs) and fictional characters from the movies (Joker, Rambo).
Once the material was ready, the book format was discussed with Europa Publishing. This is how the “Mucsi 12x” perpetual calendar was born, followed by the photo exhibition, which was presented for the first time just a year ago in the Csabagyöngye Cultural Centre in Békéscsaba.
