Becoming

The exhibition is situated at the border between architecture and fine art, and the artist deliberately places the viewer in an active, interpretative role. At the heart of Becoming is the changing relationship between the built environment and social structures, as space, time and meaning are constantly being layered. Schreck does not offer clear-cut answers, but rather invites visitors to explore the dialectical spaces hidden in the scaffolding for themselves. In the exhibition space, Dürer’s idea of perspective, Piranesi’s labyrinths and Fichte’s idea of self-creation meet in a joint investigation in which there are no dividing lines between past, present and future, but passages.
