Kristóf Szabó aka KristofLab presents his most critical project ever, Artifical Paradise his solo exhibition. His artistic practice explores the relationship between nature and civilisation, wilderness and man urbanisation, man’s artificially created habitat, the city and its and its symbol, the tower block.

Artifical Paradise takes this idea a step further, with the artificially created natural spaces, domesticated and industrialised nature, and the the phenomenon of industrialised nature. Visions of the future that seemed utopian a few decades ago of a new relationship between nature and man, of the possibility of total control, have become commonplace. have become everyday practices.

Controlled, industrialised nature calls into question the very definition of nature: is it still can we still speak of nature in terms of the artificially created and sustained, artificial, vegetation that functions as a visual element? How does all this affect ecology and and our image of nature?

KristofLab uses his usual multimedia tools, through installations, videos, paintings and collages. His works explore the bizarre and alienating nature of the phenomenon the alienation of the phenomenon, visioning the possibilities encoded in their present.
