“Art is the conspiracy of angels over the head of the world.” The quote is from Géza Ottlik, but it is also on Barbara Bódi’s tomorrow – and not by chance. Perhaps because she too believes that the world needs good, beauty, teaching, confrontation, forgiveness, absolution. All the things that the angels above us, among us, do every day to make this world a more livable place. They conspire over everything that is not for the edification and purification of the soul. And in this conspiracy, the angels are the helpers or the angels themselves: the creators of each moment, who dedicate their lives to creating. Always new. Always something else. Artists create the world for us, and in them the world becomes real.
DrBoba, Barbara Bódi is such a creator. Her art does not only affect our senses – it affects our soul. For her, creation is not simply a technical process, but a search for mystery, a continuous search, an inner dialogue.
