In the spring of 2015, Kálmán Katona launched the Hermina Gallery, giving young artists, composers and performers the opportunity to work together and present their work to the public. We held exhibitions, concerts, interactive guided tours and creative workshops at the Hermina Gallery and, since spring 2017, at other venues under the name Hermina Creative Group.
Over the past ten years, the group has changed as a living organism: some have arrived, some have left. But the common goal has remained the same: to create collaborative works that help us better understand the relationship between music and visuality, and to find problems that have meaning in both the spatial and temporal arts. Our individual works in the group’s exhibitions and concerts are also born mainly from dialogue; we don’t want to be spectacular or bombastic – in the general din, the quiet voice is of value.
Celebrating our tenth birthday, our exhibition presents a selection of works from the past ten years, including many collaborative audiovisual works and a selection of collaborative works from the Zsennye and Kecskemét art camps.
