The Block-Art Cultural Association held its 21st international symposium in Erdőszőlő between August 7 and August 17, 2025. The invited artists explored the theme of “The Patience of the Cosmos” during their stay at the artist colony, and their exhibition under this title is on display at the MAMŰ Gallery.

The theme has an ambivalent tone—patience is slow and quiet, while the movement, birth, and destruction of the universe take place with phenomenal energy. This contrast creates an exciting tension. Cosmic processes and events take place over millions or even billions of years and are independent of human will, desires, plans, and actions. Patience, on the other hand, is a human trait that is personal and influenced by the abilities of the individual. The cosmos and patience seem like distant concepts, but they are connected by the relationship between time and evolution.

Patience is not waiting, but conscious trust in creation—the universe knows that everything happens at the right moment. This approach can also have a transformative effect on human life: letting go of control and placing oneself in a larger order. Symbolically, the title refers to infinite time, trust, and respect for the cycles of existence.

The resulting works embody the multifaceted aspects of the theme – science, spirituality, faith, and the subjective approaches of individuals.
