Éva Magyarósi is a contemporary artist who is at home in both the international art scene and the world of film, and who is particularly sensitive to social issues. Her works are characterized by a new, experimental combination of media art, classical graphic and painting techniques. She is also known for her collage films, photographs, public installations, and theater and film sets. Her animations and storyboards, with their complex symbolism, are created using pencil drawings and photographs, which she narrates with her own texts. Her visionary works collectively tell the story of the hidden world of womanhood and motherhood, all taking place on a planet called Earth that is in the midst of an ecological and social crisis.
The film etudes and drawing epics, accompanied by atmospheric sound effects, are shaped into stories by figures born of her myth-creating imagination and drawings of her children. The film sketches, installed together with the unique graphics that make up the animations and accompanied by music, are organized into narrative installations that extend into the space. In addition to allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the flow of images, the artist also offers them a glimpse into the hidden dimensions of her unique way of thinking. The lyrical imagery, sensitively depicting dreams, inner monologues, and states of mind, forms a magical unity that draws the viewer in.
