The members of the Blue/8 group began their work in Szeged in the summer of 2018, and have been creating in Gyermely since 2021. The group was formed by former students of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. The interaction between their creative personalities is extremely important to the members.
Among them, we can find graphic artists, painters, sculptors, musicians, and variations thereof. The word “blue” in the group’s name refers to one of the members’ favorite and frequently used techniques, cyanotype.
This blue is the color of free-flowing thoughts, the blue of Yves Klein that makes you forget yourself in your creative work, the powder blue of cyanotype, which allows us to use both sunlight and shadow in our artwork.
