The exhibition consists of a mixture of old photographs and various objects, including items belonging to my lost relatives—my daughter, brothers, parents, grandparents, and others—and analog images of these items taken as inventory items. It also includes certain objects from my current living environment, whose former owners I did not know personally, but which have become part of my life story and identity, similar to the objects passed down to me by my family members, because someone bequeathed them to me during a clear-out. Through the presentation of these multiple layers of historical, emotional, and material intertwining, I seek to find a common thread that transcends the individual. An essential element of the hand-enlarged analog photos on display is that the film, chemicals, and paper have all expired, which, with the unpredictability of the development process, well models the randomness of the coincidences mentioned above.
