Bea Roskó, who has been living in France since 1986, and 2B Gallery have a long-standing relationship. The first exhibition she participated in at our gallery was the first chapter of our series showcasing artist families in 2002, the gallery’s first year, when she exhibited together with her brother Gábor and their mother, textile artist Éva Rónai. This was followed by two solo exhibitions, in 2005, My Brother and I Bathe in One Tub, and in 2015, Use Me for What I Am Meant For!
Now, a retrospective selection from these series will be presented and we will also be able to welcome her new works in the 2B space. It will be interesting to see works from different creative periods side by side, as the pieces of the mosaic fall into place and reveal a larger picture. A wide variety of materials, techniques, and media, some sombre, some colorful. Drawings, embroidery, transparent, small and large.
