The Data Weavers exhibition presents the joint work of artists who work with data on a daily basis, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing it. Now, however, the data takes on a new form: it is woven into beads, patterns, and jewelry.
The group meets every other Wednesday to tell stories about social phenomena, personal experiences, and community experiences by “encoding” data into beadwork. The resulting works embody both the precision of numbers and the intimacy of craftsmanship.
The initiative has already gained wider recognition: the works of the Data Weavers have been presented at international exhibitions, and civil organizations, research groups, and large companies have invited them to their domestic workshops.
Exhibitors: Databeads (Eszter Katona, Mihály Minkó), Levente Dudás, Fanni Máté, Pálma Mogyorósi, Krisztián Szabó
