I got my first computer shortly before the turn of the millennium. Before that, when I needed graphics programs, I would express my wishes in person to friends who were ahead of me in this field.

Around this time, I started my series entitled Flying Bridge, which was the first one I created on my own computer. On May 30, 1997, at the Danube Museum in Esztergom, we “built” an imaginary flying bridge between two pillars with the help of twelve architects. The exhibition, titled átHIDalás (Crossing), was a performance presented in Esztergom, and its visual traces formed the basis of the graphics. I took the first steps at the Kecskemét Artists’ Colony with the help of sculptor Péter Csíkvári. I explained what I wanted to depict, Péter and I broke these stories down into simple steps, and then we put together command lines. This is how the 12 images were created—in a dialogue between two people.

Now, almost three decades later, I am very curious to see what happens when I tell artificial intelligence the same thing, how we get from infinite variations to the one we implement, or how we deal with the multitude of constantly changing variations. Is it necessary to choose from twelve sets of constantly changing information instead of twelve images? Will we be able to find the right words, the exact expressions for our requests, in a dialogue between man and machine?

Fruzsi and Dénes would like to provide artistic answers to these questions at our exhibition to be held at FUGA in December 2025.
