I consider my sculptures to be part of a process consisting of many small, interrelated steps. The goal of this process is difficult to define in conceptual terms; the emphasis is rather on an intuitive approach. The clean forms that characterize my sculptures, the sculptural considerations that guide my work, the choice of tools, the shaping of masses, relationships, and proportions all serve to create a kind of “order.”

In my works created over the past six to eight years, including the sculptures presented here, I have focused on experimenting with the incorporation of specific architectural elements and details from a sculptural perspective. I am primarily interested in how and under what conditions certain architectural elements can be transferred into sculpture in order to create a unique spatial arrangement and a unique formal order.

I believe that the necessary change of scale opens up new possibilities in terms of both form and content, where my works can convey a unique formal language using the tools of abstract sculpture while also depicting specific themes and motifs, thereby expanding the interpretive framework of the work.
