The relationship between visual arts and music is often the focus of the festival, as the two art forms have been closely intertwined for millennia, inspiring and complementing each other. The two genres have many features in common: rhythm, symmetry/asymmetry, dynamics, tones, nuances, contrasts, which is why they are able to harmonize with each other. There is a long list of musical instrument depictions, paintings and sculptures with musical themes, sound works, sound-producing structures, sound installations, and interactive works. In addition to Hungarian artists, foreign artists will also present one “sound” work each at the exhibition.
