Freetime (sheep project)

12. March 2026. – 20. March
MegnyitóOpening: March 11, 2026, 7:00 pm

“I heard about a place (I exhibited in Finland at the beginning of March last year) near Helsinki, a small island with three sheep and a house. The sheep belong to the capital city, but volunteers take turns being shepherds on a monthly basis. This is a mental health program run by the city of Helsinki, which anyone can take part in.”

Lilla Törteli’s solo exhibition deals with the motif of liberation and the desire for liberation. It is not only an exhibition but also an action aimed at creating more and more opportunities that offer some kind of escape from everyday life.

We romanticize doing nothing, we long for it, yet we are often filled with guilt, even though doing nothing only counts for nothing in terms of productivity.

Accompanying events:

March 13 – Anna Zsoldos in conversation with animal keeper Mária Tünde Lakos

March 14 – Shepherd’s crook carving and decorating

March 20 – Spring equinox celebration

March 21 – Hiking and burning of the Kiszebáb

Every Monday from January until the end of the exhibition, between 9 and 11 a.m., Lilla performs motionless “meditation” exercises in the FKSE space, which anyone is free to join. Remaining dates:
