Interwoven

The exhibition *Interwoven* presents an exciting dialogue between antique carpets and contemporary artworks, bridging the artistic traditions of the past and the present. Curator Katica Kocsis’s concept juxtaposes different media and eras, revealing the connections inherent in the use of materials, patterns, and storytelling methods. Drawing on works from the East and Africa as well as by Hungarian artists, the exhibition explores, through four thematic sections, how the diverse knowledge and collective experience of different cultures are layered within woven and painted artworks.
