The exhibition titled “Rheometry” explores, through Balázs Veres’s concrete sculptures, the tension between the flow of the material and the geometric form of the solidified sculpture.
The works presented in the exhibition contrast the rheological properties of concrete—the flow of the unhardened material—with the strict geometry of the solidified sculpture. The interaction between the carefully designed forms and the concrete—which is still liquid and moves randomly during casting—as well as the logical tension arising between them, is made visible through the pigments mixed into the cast.
