Barbara Nagy’s works explore vision and visibility. She is fascinated by the essence of vision, the nature of visual perception, and the image-creating power of light. She creates black engraved wooden panels, installations, and video works in which she explores the possible paths to the creation of a work of art.
Titled *Barbara Nagy: Works 2005–2025*, this book was published by the Open Structures Art Association (OSAS) and guides the reader from the creation of the wooden panels through their spatial expansion to their transformation into installations. Structurally, the volume presents the worlds of the wooden panels, installations, prints, and videos in separate “chapters,” complemented by analyses by Szilvia Csanádi and Zsolt Kozma, as well as a poem by József Gaál.
