2026 General Assembly

Artus residents

14. January 2026. – 24. January
MegnyitóOpening: January 13, 2026, 7:00 pm

… essentially, it becomes clear year after year that Artus is not a studio space characterized by a jointly developed concept, nor is the studio community composed exclusively of artists who cherish similar aesthetic principles and professional visions.

The place has been operating for more than a quarter of a century. From the very beginning, Artus Studio has developed itself as an opportunity for visual artists who want to create intensively and undisturbed.

The studio’s thirteen studios, each with a very special atmosphere, reflect the worlds of the artists who work there. Two additional, larger spaces, retaining the industrial environment in broad terms (since the building once housed a factory), serve as exhibition spaces, completing the creative existence that is the distinctive feature of Artus.

Today, the Artus community has become multigenerational.

The effects of this on the participants are impossible to foresee from the present, nor are they necessarily aesthetically graspable in the works or in the attitudes of the individual artists.

The joint exhibitions of Artus residents are never explicit artistic declarations, but rather occasions that allow for the exploration of the implicit possibilities of subtle connections between the works.
