Yet Bálind’s main orientation is not an analytical exploration of pictorial structure, nor of the chosen subject and content, an unconditionally conceptualist, anecdotal or painterly treatment, but rather one that seeks to reveal the existential nature and character of his own environment.
More specifically, his works are indeed products of this existential situation, specific definitions of the state of mind of society and the individual in a given social context.
The image is thus a joint product of the artist and the environment in transition, or more precisely, of the artist and the mood of crisis that surrounds him.
