Tamás Körösényi (1953-2010) is a trendsetter of contemporary Hungarian thinking about sculpture. The title of the exhibition, a sentence by Körösényi referring to Kassák, is not only an answer to the question ”Is art dead?”, it is more than just a response to the art world’s long registered crisis and self-query: it is also an artistic credo or manifesto summarizing several decades of creative and pedagogical work. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Körösényi’s birth, Kunsthalle opens an exhibition of his creative oeuvre.
