The products of culture come from bodily experience. The body is always an embodiment—an embodiment of self. According to Richard Shusterman, physical mastery of the world is possible not only through the mind but also through body awareness.
According to Soma-Aesthetics, the fields of aesthetics can be interdisciplinary, linked to biology or medicine, psychological, or transcend traditional aesthetic categories and thus deal with sexuality, body image, gender issues, or even popular culture.
The exhibition, a testament to the diversity of works, grapples with the aesthetic expression of bodily issues. It was a collaborative effort, brought to life with the active participation of students from the Department of Visual Arts at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts.
