Interactivity is a new opportunity in the area of contemporary art. Interaction came into the public awareness when performance art emerged. Art that triggers activity is closer to the art of space and time, such as film or theater. Performance can also be seen as a frontier, a connecting link between the fine arts and the performing arts.
New tendencies are emerging in the increasingly widespread interactivity. These are works of art that connect with the viewer themselves, involve them in their own space or in the creative process. The artist does not use his own body as a contact surface, but forms the object itself in such a way as to be able to do so. It is an experimental genre and is also very popular in mainstream culture. This is due to the development of digital devices. Kinect touchscreen and other different sensors are fundamentally changing our lives.
The works shown here are installations that invite the viewer in various aspects to connecting with and interact with the object. The subject of the exhibition is the artistic presentation of the above illuminated tendency. Sometimes players are more thoughtful, but they always create a kind of contact with the visitor.
Setup as a installing process is our constant activity. We refine, synchronize our devices, our time with our environment or situation. Our technological existence defines our own identity through the tools and our relationships with them. The exhibited installations move us out of our usual tangible contacts and explore new possibilities of perception through art.
