The exhibition is organized by the Árpád Csekovszky Art Foundation and the B32 Gallery in honor of the artists who won the Csekovszky Award for the first time.

In addition to his outstanding creative work, ceramic artist Árpád Csekovszky (1931-1997) taught ceramics students at the Silicate Department of the Hungarian College of Applied Arts for more than 40 years. He retired as an honorary university professor in 1992. His successful students have received numerous domestic and international awards in recent decades.

The Csekovszky Award was established on September 30, 2024, by the Árpád Csekovszky Art Foundation and the Árpád Csekovszky Association.

The founders wish to reward ceramic artists of outstanding achievement who, in addition to their creative work, are also professionally engaged in art education. (…) The artist receiving the award should be at least 35 years of age. In their work as an art teacher, they should consider it their vocation to provide young people with a high level of professional education and to develop their creative habits and a secure set of values. These criteria were chosen based on the example set by Árpád Csekovszky, winner of the Munkácsy Prize and distinguished artist. The award was decided by a prestigious professional committee appointed by the Founder.
