Our community is an organized community. We are all connected through the common institution. We are acquaintances, half acquaintances, and strangers to each other. We meet at pre-arranged times, always on purpose. We work on a predetermined task. We introduce ourselves. Not individually but together.
The introductory exhibition of the 18 new members of the FKSE unravels the artificial community-organizing power of belonging to an institution by displaying disorderly, contingent work that unfolds in time spent together. It shows the organic functioning of an organized community. The process of collective creation, free of constraints, is presented in the gallery space. Without guiding principles, common motifs, or definitions, it is simple and natural.
