I was born and grew up in Pécs, in Tettye to be precise, which is a district on the side of the Mecsek. I have come to understand that the eroding building materials of the Tettye give me a special sense of home and calm. As a sculptor, I was also interested in the concept of home, so I observed and used the materials in my immediate environment, which have surrounded me since childhood. For most of my sculptures, I use typical materials from Tettye, preferably also elements that I found at home.

I often go up to the tarpaper flat roof of our house to think, when I do, my cat Rozi usually follows me. For me, the cats are as much a part of the Tetty as the buildings themselves, and they are just as comfortable in this chaotic environment as I am. The cat as a symbol, in my interpretation, embodies the perfect identification with a particular place, but it is also closely linked to the notion of home and self-identity. Not only because of their individual personality in general, but also because I can express my own identity through them.
