Whenever I can, I go hiking in nature, where I am always struck by a beautiful shape, an exciting surface or an interesting phenomenon. I am fascinated by the elemental power of the colours of reality, which I would like to translate on canvas. To create harmony and balance between the outer world and the inner soul.
In the closeness of nature I discover a creative force that fills me with wonder. The tree, as an ancient motif of force, carries an important meaning for me. The elements of the “Infinite” series are not only reflections of the infinite richness of external forms, but invite the recipient into the depths of the soul.
In the words of Carl Gustav Jung, a scholar of symbols, the tree reaching to the sky is located in the middle of a magnificent paradisiacal garden, which also represents the centre of the world, the centre of our soul. According to a psychological approach, the tree is a reflection of our personality, and the trees in the Infinite series are such archetypal trees, from whose mysteries many stories can be read by our imagination.
For me, the walnut images of the “Psyche” series, enlarged to monumental proportions or displayed en masse, are first and foremost the embodiment of man and time. In the oval frames, I display walnut portraits from different periods, evoking the memory of classical paintings. In the rows of mostly halved walnut ensembles, I depict the elusive diversity of untouched nature, the different variations of spontaneity in the external and internal forms and fragmentation of the broken walnut.
My works represent both chaos and order, which also refer to man’s ancient aspirations. With my message I try to give insight into the phenomena and forms of nature, to create images, patterns and beauty from them.
