The next winner of our Art Wall competition, Fruzsina Kun, mainly paints and draws, but occasionally also creates objects. In recent years, shades of pink, red, orange, and purple have become the main means of expression in her art. Her creations lead us into the invisible organic world beneath the skin — a network of tendrils and crevices that evoke both plant forms and the internal structure of the human body.
This duality, the interplay of life-giving and life-draining, protective and threatening forces, runs through her work. A frequent motif is the watchful eye-shaped opening, which seems to offer a glimpse into a secret, colorful, yet suffocating shell: a hidden, inner world that is both attractive and unsettling.
