Since 1997, Hungarian and foreign artists from Hungary, Hungarian territories beyond the border, and abroad have been invited to participate in the annual Hegyvidék International Artists‘ Colony, organized with the support of the Hegyvidék Local Government of Budapest’s 12th district. The works created at the camp based on a predetermined theme and donated by the artists to the Hegyvidék Local Government collection are exhibited every year after the camp in the cultural institutions of District XII.
In November, interested parties can view a larger selection from the collection of approximately 400 pieces at the Hegyvidék Gallery, drawing attention to this significant collection of fine art, from which the Local Government plans to hold a charity auction in 2026. The current selection conveys the inspiring environment and atmosphere of the 12th district – Hegyvidék through the works.
