As a ceramic designer, I am present in both applied and autonomous art fields. I do not separate them, as they are equally important to me: the experience gained in one field is organically incorporated into the work of the other. I feel fortunate because porcelain has its place in both worlds—in fact, it plays a central role in both.
I constantly move between different themes; objects are often created in parallel, complementing each other – as different approaches to the same issue. My works are made using a porcelain casting process, taking their final form in the negative spaces of the molds.
I always think in terms of series, I work with reproducible forms, and I have to ensure a certain quality – this is essential for fulfilling orders, especially with such a sensitive material. The appearance, examination, and understanding of flaws are part of my daily work.
In this exhibition, I explore the issues of consistent quality and flaws through small and large-scale works, unique pieces, and series.
