“Claw Valley”
Maybe you should grow up! (Not “maybe”, but definitely.)
We should stop telling children’s stories, stop dreaming about or referring to monsters of bygone ages, Jurassic, Rococo, etc.
We shouldn’t have to put everything in quotation marks and keep on ironising.
We should stop the compulsive appropriation, paraphrasing! (It is also difficult to say.) We should not sacrifice on the altar of the gag and the absurd, humorize endlessly.
Finally take art seriously and not just technically!
To be relevant and autonomous, uptodate, authentic, etc.!
We should be socially critical and climate-sensitive at the same time, not
infantile on the rubbish heap of pop culture!
Slowly – approaching my 50th year of life – I should start a serious
life’s work with a strong and consistent message!
We should change from crab roll to serious music, but…
DOES NOT WORK!
“WHAT DO I DO IF IT DOES NOT WORK?”
I dedicate my exhibition to my little boys, Marc and Lacko, and thank Marc for this wonderfully poetic title! I use it with his permission, although he will make a film with the same title when he grows up.
