Unfolding

Dora Kontha’s work focuses on inner landscapes, employing various analog processes and experimental techniques. Her works do not begin with a representation of the external world, but rather relate to inner landscapes and emotional states. The images break away from specific time and space, creating transitional worlds where memory, perception, and emotion layer upon one another. During the experimental photographic processes, forms shift and dissolve. What unfolds is a fragile, constantly shifting reality that does not come to a close but remains in motion.
