Our universe woke up 13.8 billion years after its birth. The tiny, conscious parts of our universe scanned the cosmos with telescopes from their tiny blue planets, and discovered again and again that everything we know is a tiny part of something much bigger. They are part of a solar system, a galaxy and a universe of hundreds of billions of other galaxies arranged in intricate patterns, made up of small groups, clusters and superclusters. While these self-conscious stargazers may disagree on many things, there is complete consensus that these galaxies are stunningly beautiful.
