The joint exhibition of Zsófia Faur Gallery’s permanent artist Márton Romvári and János Romvári, Márton’s father, who was invited as a guest exhibitor for this exhibition, promises to be a unique dialogue. This exhibition is not only a vision of a slice of a multi-generational family of artists, father-son art, and an impression of their interaction, but also a reflection of the generational differences and sovereign paths between them.
They are united by an ecological approach, a reference to the organic nature of design, an interest in structures, an investigation of organisms and the substances of the environment, but their use of genres (installation art for János Romvári, painting for Márton) and their perception of nature are different.
János Romvári is concerned with the transcendence and philosophical interpretation of nature, while Márton is interested in the coincidence of the formal world and natura, and the relationship between nature and modern man. The exhibition is a fascinating attempt to show the activities of father and son, and of artists who analyse the workings of the universe independently of each other.
