Márton Fernezelyi and Zoltán Szegedy-Maszák have been making media art installations together for more than a quarter of a century, often involving other co-creators in their work. Their artistic thinking is renewed from time to time through collaborations and the inclusion/integration of different perspectives and fields of interest, which also has a decisive influence on Szegedy-Maszák’s “solitary” works.
The exhibition will also include a re-created version of the spectacular 1998 interactive virtual reality installation Promenade, which has been shown at several international exhibitions since 2002, but has been shown at two domestic exhibitions in the early 2000s.
In addition to the interactive installations, Szegedy-Maszák’s spatial lenticular series exploring the boundaries between photographic imaging and computer-generated spaces will be shown, as will her 3D printed spatial image series based on the relationship between texts and images and objects.
