In 2024, I won an exhibition opportunity at the HAB Art Wall Café. I will show the large installation of a magnolia, 2 x 4 metres, made from panelling elements for the competition for the first time here.
The choice of theme is multi-faceted: the magnolia, also known as the lily tree, which blooms year after year in the garden of the villa in front of the building, not only harmonises with the calm, curved interior of the HAB with its organic forms, but also represents a lost and rediscovered romance.
On the other hand, floral imagery plays just as important a role in my art as the works that play with transitions, fading and transparency, so the work is an integral part of my artistic experiments.
